Freak the Mighty Final Projects
The students were supposed to finish reading the book over the weekend. They were given a short reading comprehension test yesterday in class. Based on their scores, I am a little concerned that some students do not seem to have read the book using careful reflection. Being able to read a piece of literature, reflect on the story and theme, and discuss with classmates is an important skill for students to posses.
The students were given the specifics of their final project for this book today in class. The students will be given some time to work on the project in class. The project has multiple parts and cannot be left until the last minute. I am encouraging the students to plan ahead, make the most of their work time, and hand in their best work.
